Everybody lies. That’s one of most common
sentences in our modern world. Parents lie to their kids, kid’s lies to
their parents, spouses, friends and coworkers lie to each other. Not to
mention the politicians, they lie all the time. Sometimes lying or
telling the true is difference to get wanted job, desired attention, or
to get something you want really bad. In a blink of an eye you can
transform yourself into a liar. Sometimes even when you don’t want, you
can tell lie, just not to heart close person feelings. New dress, shoes,
haircut, new phone or something that matters to somebody close to you,
can be cause of a lie. So, lies are all around us, just like the air we
are breading to survive.
But without shadow of a dought, telling all those lies
on daily bass in the end will blow back in our face. Lies erode our
trust, our relationships, and our life. True honesty, trust and love are
foundations of our life and our society. You don’t have to be very smart
to know that without solid foundation everything crumbles into pieces
and dust. There is a difference among lies. Telling someone that you
like he’s / she’s haircut, while you not, won’t make you a compulsive
liar and bad person. But if you are telling lies just to pull yourself
out of a mess you created, than there is a great chance that you will
keep going with that behavior. Fear of rejection, punishment,
depression, demotion, loneliness cannot be right reasons for you to turn
into compulsive liar.
Telling a lie here and there maybe is not such a sin, but it will
get under your skin as an easy way out whenever you have a problem. With
every single lie you tell, you are creating environment different from
real. With every lie, you are changing yourself into something different
than you. It enters you in magic circle of lying with no way out. Yes
maybe you can circle for a while, but eventually you will step on new
road, on road to a compulsive liar. Maybe lies will help you on short
term, but your fast rising empire based on lies, will fall like tower of
cards in no time.
Today modern life gives you great opportunity to develop
destructive habits. It’s up to you to decide. Either you will be loyal
to yourself and stay to a road of honesty, or you will take a shortcut
and become compulsive liar. Telling lies will not make you any better
than you really are. Everybody notices a difference between real and
imaginative, sooner or later. Nobody is bigger in other eyes with lies.
It’s all up to you to decide on which road you will go.
